Meet the Buyer is back for Fife Business Week 2021!

Don't miss Fife Business Week’s flagship online event, Meet the Buyer, taking place on Thursday, 4th November from 9.00am until 2.00 pm.  
 
This year’s Meet the Buyer aims to help local businesses find out what contract opportunities are available as part of the Dunfermline Learning Campus (DLC) (£200m project) and the Levenmouth Railway Link project delivery (£70m project). Suppliers will explore how to do business with Hub East Central Scotland, Fife College, BAM, Balfour Beatty, Network Rail and their framework of suppliers and Fife Council Procurement.

Major £250k Redevelopment Project Of Listed Building To Bring A New 24 Bedroom Hotel To Dunfermline Town Centre

The business owner behind two of Dunfermline’s most popular eateries is set to give a major boost to the town’s potential as a short break destination, with the news that he is to create a new twenty four bedroom hotel above his thriving Bistro at 82 High Street.
 
Nihat Oymak, who operates what is currently La Menta in the downstairs part of the three storey listed building, and also has the award winning Antioch Turkish restaurant in Bridge Street, along with a tailoring business at East Port, is spending around £250k to create the hotel upstairs.

The Great Taste Awards 2021 have been announced and no fewer than 12 Fife companies have been recognised.

 The Great Taste Awards, organised by the Guild of Fine Food, is the acknowledged benchmark for fine food and drink. Expert judges, including top chefs, buyers and food writers make up the panel, which blind-tasted thousands of food and drink products in a rigorous judging process.

Buckinghamshire-based, privately owned recycling specialist, Yes Recycling has announced its plans for a state-of-the-art recycling facility in Glenrothes, Fife with the creation of up to sixty jobs. 
 
Yes Recycling, an experienced recycler of hard-to-recycle plastics (including bank notes, POS garment hangers, printed packaging film and post-industrial and construction waste-streams) has invested multiple millions of pounds into the mid-Fife facility, which will open in late October. 
 
It has received £520,000 from the Circular Economy Investment
