With 4 weeks to go, plans for Scottish Apprenticeship Week are gaining pace as organisations across Scotland, from family firms to global businesses, get ready to celebrate the importance of Modern Apprenticeships for individuals, organisations and the wider economy.

Raising awareness helps achieve the ambitious target to provide 25,000 Modern Apprenticeship opportunities each year as well as showcasing the wide range of industry sectors in which Modern Apprenticeships are available.  This film features two school leavers who secured apprenticeships with financial services firms as a result of Scottish Apprenticeship Week last year.  The sector organised a programme of company visits for pupils, allowing them to gain an insight into the industry and raising aspirations and ambitions.

Scottish Apprenticeship Week 2015, run by Skills Development Scotland and supported by SCDI, will be held between 18 and 22 May and there are many ways for organisations to get involved through Events, Media and Publicity and Social Media, as well as a number of Toolkits available to help publicise your involvement.
