Local radio station K107FM has today announced ‘Cosy Chat’ - a new series in partnership with Cosy Kingdom, the free and impartial energy and debt advice service available to all tenants and homeowners across Fife.
The weekly series will bring practical advice to the airwaves amidst daily headlines relating to surging energy prices and the rising cost of living. Each episode will give information on a topic and challenge the misconceptions and inaccurate advice that are widely found online and across social media.
The short form audio series will feature Michael Hildrew, Energy Advice Team Leader (Fuel Poverty) at Cosy Kingdom, sharing advice, hints and tips, all with first-hand knowledge of the biggest concerns and questions being asked across Fife.
The first episode will air on Friday 2 September at 17:05 on K107fm, and will also be heard within regular station programming throughout the week. Each episode will then also be available through the Kirkcaldy based station’s Listen Again service online at https://www.k107.co.uk/listen-again
. The series will grow into a useful resource of information across a varied selection of topics, from what the new price cap will mean, to payment methods, ways to save on fuel bills and more.
Michael Hildrew, Energy Advice Team Leader (Fuel Poverty), Cosy Kingdom said:
“The cost of living crisis is already affecting every household in Fife and further rises in the price of energy are likely to bite hard, particularly as we head into winter. It’s absolutely vital that people have access to independent and impartial advice to allow them to make the best decisions on how to limit the impact of price rises. We’re pleased to be working with K107fm to get information out through local radio.”
Alex Airnes, Programming Team, K107fm said:
“This continues to be the biggest talking point, not just locally but nationally and something that affects us all. At K107fm we’re already hearing of people in our broadcast area with genuine and growing concerns ahead of the next price cap and the winter months. We wanted to use the power of radio to try and find a way to help provide some clear communication on this important issue, and who better than to work with than our friends at Cosy Kingdom. They are answering these questions and providing support in our community, and we’re proud to provide another outlet for this vital information to be shared. We hope that people will hear the content on-air, via our Listen Again service or our Facebook page.”
