Benji Physio Putting Care Back Into Rehabilitation

Benji Gilbert Physio Dunfermline

Physiotherapist, Benji Gilbert, decided to leave a private practice in Perth in 2016 and set up his own clinic in Dunfermline.  With a team of eight, Benji offers a variety of treatments to a wide range of clients including sports injury rehab, post-operative care, neck and back pain and treatment for Womens’ Health conditions.

Speaking about developments, Benji said, “We just started Physio-led Pilates this month. We are offering one to one sessions and group classes.  This is something I have been wanting to offer for a long time. We are aiming to deliver very specific classes such as ante/post-natal classes and runner pilates classes.  Later in the year, I would like to start post-operation classes for patients who undergo total knee/hip replacement, ACL repair, spinal surgery or shoulder surgeries.  NHS Fife has become the national centre for Orthopaedic medicine, but they are not offering much physio after an operation. We already treat a lot of post-op conditions, but classes would be something completely new.  This is something patients will need and enjoy.”  He added, “I am making a major investment in a Shockwave machine which has been shown to have excellent results on tendon and osteoarthritis.  It is our ongoing aim to do ‘Physiotherapy the way it should be’ and deliver high-quality care to patients, while also offering a welcoming and pleasant experience to the staff.”

Benji reached out to Business Gateway Fife and HR adviser, Catherine Bartle, was able to give him recruitment advice and she was able to secure Digital Boost support for the website and specialist assistance on Marketing. Catherine commented, “Benji is passionate about delivering the best care for patients and is leading the way in Fife for post operation rehabilitation and physiotherapy, especially in Women’s Health.”
